Patients are referred to NSH by their physicians, case managers, discharge planners, and family members. NSH is able to admit patients 7 days a week and patients are evaluated by a highly skilled clinical specialist.
Once there is a written order for Newport Specialty evaluation, a referral call is placed to NSH's Liaison and he/she will perform an on-site evaluation to the patient within hours of the referral. NSH provide same day admission once the referral is started and accepted.
NSH's Liaison will notify the parties involved regarding the admission status and will work closely with referring parties to assure a smooth and timely transfer. The Liaison will contact the family members to explain the services provided and encourage them to tour the facility.
