Newport Specialty Hospital offers Pediatric Subacute and Rehabilitation Care services to children who have experienced catastrophic injury or illness, and commonly receive care that includes tracheostomy, ventilator, intravenous, feeding tubes and other forms of medical complex care.
The Pediatric Sub acute unit provides care for the following: Ventilator Dependency; Birth Related Complications; Brain and Spinal Cord Injuries; Organ Transplant Recovery; Antibiotic therapy; TPN therapy; Tracheotomy Dependency; and IV Therapy.
The accepted insurances plans are: Medi-Cal, CCS, Caloptima, and private insurances.
Our experienced and specialized staff provides personalized care and the Team consists of: Board Certified Pediatricians; Nursing; Respiratory Care Practitioners; Dietician; 24 Hrs on-call physicians; In-House physician during the night; Children's activities and Outings; Social Services; Education; Speech and Language Therapy; Occupational and Physical Therapy.
