VENTILATOR WEANING
The Pulmonary / Ventilator Weaning Programs at NSH provide individualized treatment for patients with a wide variety of cardiopulmonary needs including supplemental oxygen therapies, complex ventilator management and weaning programs. NSH provides mechanical ventilation support management and weaning utilizing both invasive and noninvasive techniques. Our Pulmonary Program is managed by physicians with years of experience specializing in pulmonology and critical care. NSH highly trained Resp. Therapy staff offer management of:
  • Acute Resp. Illness
  • Controlled Mechanical Ventilation Support
  • Acute Chronic Pulmonary Disease
  • Chronic Respiratory Failure
  • Assisted Mechanical Ventilator Management.

NSH utilizes advance technology and equipment to care for our Ventilator dependent patients. Patients rate not being able to speak as the WORST part of being on a ventilator. At NSH, we use the Esprit Ventilator with Speaking Mode. Our staff wants to hear what our patients have to say, and to have our patients involved with and ultimately be the directors of their care.
